Building Regulations

Any work done on your home requires building regulation approval and this also includes garage conversions of every kind. This is a legal requirement put in place to ensure the changes being made to the structure meet industry standards so it remains safe and secure at all times.
Once plans for your garage conversion have been drawn up these will need to be submitted to either your local authority or an approved independent building control body. Throughout the duration of the build an assigned Building Control Officer will visit the site to assess the quality of the work.
Upon the completion of the garage conversion the Building Control Officer will visit the site one last time and if satisfied it meets the required standard, you will receive a completion letter and certificate.
